Dear Colleagues and Friends,
 It is my great pleasure and honor to invite you to participate in the 2nd Asian Pacific Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery which is going to be held in Jeju Island, Korea on May 27-30, 2008. The programs include topics on many aspects of congenital heart disease, given as state-of-the art lectures, debate session with electronic voting system, mini-symposiums, luncheon sessions, as well as abstract and poster sessions. Pre-congress half-day optional course will be given for those who would like to update their knowledge on new developments in congenital heart disease.
We will also have a special video-presentation session for reviewing pathology specimens of various congenital heart disease, which will be displaced throughout the entire congress. Invited speakers include world experts on every aspects in this filed. We believe the Congress will be attractive not only to pediatric cardiologists and surgeons, but also to cardiac anesthesiologist, intensivist, neonatologist, pathologist, obstetrician specializing in fetal ultrasound, nurse specialist, sonographers and perfusionist.
Jeju island is the most beautiful island in Korea, called "Hawaii" of Asia, and we will prepare various sporting events on seaside and mountains, and social events during and after the Congress. For those who would like to explore Korea more, we will provide an optional tour to Seoul after the Congress for a visit to various tourist attractions and shopping places in and around Seoul. I can assure you that you will have a life-time experience in Korean culture, music, sports, as well as an excellent scientific meeting.
As the Asian Pacific region is becoming increasingly important, assuming greater responsibility in the world in recent years and surely for many years to come, I am particularly excited to be able to host this important meeting in Korea. I am also hoping that this renewed tradition of PCCS will continue in future.
This Congress will give an opportunity not only to share knowledge, but also to meet old friends and make new friends from Asian Pacific countries. I once again urge you to come to Jeju Island, Korea and bring friends, colleagues, trainees, students, and family, along with you.
